General Info

Tucked away at Misaki-11-58 Onahamashimokajiro in Iwaki, Fukushima, Marine Village feels like one of those easygoing spots you stumble upon and instantly want to stay a little longer. The atmosphere is relaxed, the seating is comfortable, and everything about the place invites you to slow down and enjoy a satisfying meal without overthinking it.

The menu leans into hearty, comforting flavors, and honestly, it delivers exactly what you hope for when you’re craving something warm and filling. One standout is the チキンのガーリックピラフ, a garlic chicken pilaf that’s rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. It’s the kind of dish that hits you with flavor right away but never feels overwhelming. Then there’s the 焼きナポリタン, a baked version of the classic Japanese-style pasta, slightly crispy on top and soft underneath, giving you a nice contrast in every bite.

If you’re in the mood for something a bit different, the 焼きカレー is a must-try. It comes bubbling hot, with layers of curry and rice baked together into a comforting, slightly cheesy dish that feels both indulgent and familiar. On lighter days, the タマゴサンドイッチ works perfectly-it’s soft, creamy, and simple in the best way, ideal for a quick bite during lunch.

Speaking of quick bites, Marine Village really shines when you’re short on time but still want quality. Their takeout option makes it easy to grab your favorite dishes and go, while the efficient service ensures you’re never waiting too long. Whether you’re stopping in for lunch or just need something satisfying between plans, the flow here feels smooth and stress-free.

And then there’s dessert. The チョコレートパフェ is the kind of treat that makes you pause and savor the moment. It’s rich, layered, and just sweet enough to wrap up your meal on a high note without being too heavy.

From a practical standpoint, the restaurant covers all the basics well. Clean restroom facilities, comfortable seating, and a layout that feels both casual and welcoming make it suitable for solo diners or small groups alike. Reviews from visitors often highlight how easy it is to drop in, enjoy a meal, and leave feeling genuinely satisfied.

All in all, Marine Village stands out not because it tries to be flashy, but because it gets the fundamentals right-good food, a reliable menu, and a laid-back experience that keeps people coming back.

What customers say?

“ One of the best places to eat in Iwaki. The chicken garlic pilaf is great. As is the parfait. They have a selection of Where’s Wally books for some reason. ”

“ After touring Aquamarine Fukushima, I stopped by for lunch. There was a parking spot available around 11:45 on a weekday, and although it wasn't on the oceanfront, I was able to get in without any issues. However, it quickly filled up. I got the impression that there were more locals than tourists. Lunch prices seemed to be set with locals in mind, rather than tourist prices. Starting at around 1,000 yen, including salad, a drink bar, and dessert... Because there's a drink bar, I lingered after my meal, and the turnover seemed slow. I ordered two of the daily lunch specials, and while both seemed small at first glance, they were just the right amount to fill me up. While there were some issues with the ceiling air conditioner filters, the restaurant was bright, clean, and generally comfortable, and I enjoyed a pleasant lunch. The staff's service was also standard and satisfactory. ”

“ This is a lovely restaurant on a hill overlooking the harbor. I've been there several times for lunch and the food is delicious. ”

“ I've been here many times already, but this time I visited with my family in the early afternoon on a holiday. The parking lot can get cramped when it's busy, so I wasn't sure if I could get in, but luckily it seemed like the previous wave of customers had just left. The mocha parfait was very filling and packed with cream, but the smooth coffee jelly made it easy to finish. The weather was great and I could see the Marine Bridge right outside the window, so it was a great location. This is a restaurant I'd definitely like to visit again in the future! ”

“ Baked Neapolitan It's rich and generously topped with cheese! It's not as heavy as I expected, and the flavor of the Neapolitan is not overpowered by the cheese! The burnt cheese adds a nice accent It even comes with grated cheese and Tabasco Chicken Pilaf Comes with soup*° It's the #1 most popular dish, and it's delicious! The garlic was really strong and flavorful*° Pork Pilaf Comes with soup*° While the chicken is usually garlicky, this one has a kick of ginger, making it rich yet light The meat was tender and delicious down to the last bite Grilled Cheese Curry The sweet vegetables and spicy curry are a delicious match*° The cheese is melty*° Grilled Chicken Cutlet Sandwich What? The chicken was so tender! It was delicious Maybe the seasoning was a little on the strong side overall? ”

“ This was my first time visiting. I had seen the Fukushima Show on TUF and had been wanting to go. The Onahama Marine Tower is nearby, which is also close to this restaurant. Next, regarding the food, they offer pasta, curry, pilaf, pizza, sweets, hot sandwiches, lunch, and a drink bar. This time, I had the chicken pilaf, bacon and tomato pizza, and chocolate parfait. Everything was very filling. I was able to eat while looking out at the ocean, so it was a very pleasant experience. ”

“ The chicken pilaf and strawberry and coffee mini parfait were both delicious. The iced coffee was coffee-flavored and not too heavy. The pilaf was strong, but somehow had a nostalgic flavor. The drink bar and water are self-service. It's close to Misaki Park. I'm glad they're open so late, with last orders at 9:30 PM. The night view was beautiful, but the glass made it hard to see. But it would make a good date spot. The staff were friendly and it was a really nice restaurant. I'd like to return again and try a different dish. It's become one of my favorites. ”

“ This is a restaurant with a sea view that I stopped off at after strolling around Misaki Park. I had seafood doria and a chocolate parfait. The doria was filled with lots of seafood like shrimp and squid, and was topped with chicken rice, which was delicious when eaten with béchamel sauce. The chocolate parfait was more filling than its price suggested, and was filled with lots of bananas, kiwi, and chocolate ice cream, making it a very satisfying dish. My companion said the baked Neapolitan was delicious, and it seems like there are other tasty-looking menu items, so this is a restaurant I'd like to visit again. ”
